Cant Find A Publisher, Theres A Solution!
By Ayrhaven (Streetdirectory.com)
An issue that most budding authors will face is that of finding a publisher to publish their book. So what is the way to go if you can’t find a publisher?
The answer to this question is simple, “If you can’t find a publisher, self-publish.”
In fact, there are stories of authors who first started only to discover that they couldn’t get a publisher at all and they had no money to self-publish.
Truth be told, the first publisher that I engaged, they did not do a good job of marketing that was up to my expectation.
I used to think that you need to have a very good publisher to distribute and market your book. It’s really not true, especially in today’s world when you can do it yourself.
Here’s some advice. Even if you get the best publisher in the world, you have to take responsibility; you have to promote the book yourself! The publisher has got a hundred other of their own books, so they are have to divide their time among hundreds of books. Thus only you can add the extra marketing value to your book. And that’s what I did.
Here are some cost effective solutions that one can find take.
We know that right now, because of the internet you can publish your book through an e-book which costs you almost zero and will still enable you to reach a worldwide audience.
What some of them have done is to publish their book as an e-book which almost costs nothing and when it became popular as an e-book, they made even more money. After which they published the original e-book into a hard cover book. So it can be done the other way as well.
Here’s the example website that offers a Print On Demand service. It’s called “alibris.com”. What they do is list your book there. Anyone who wants to order it can go to the above website, download the form, place an order and they will print the book.
The key advantages of this service are that you do need to keep stock and your customers also pay for the printing, which will save you a lot of money.
In fact nowadays with the rise in technology, it is so easy to do a print on demand. For those of you who are interested in finding a good publisher, an online publisher at that and make it available to the rest of the world this is a great solution.
So next time you find yourself without a publisher, don’t fret and remember to use the solutions shared in this article.

The Top Options For Book Publishing
By John Harricharan (EzineArticles)
“John, what is the best way to get my book published?” After years of experience in the publishing industry, this is a
question that I am often asked by new authors. At one time, many believed that there was only one viable option for publishing your book, and that was to approach the large publishing houses. Fortunately, the publishing landscape has changed over the past few years, and this assumption is no longer true. In fact, there are now many viable ways to get your book published, and we’ll look at just a few of them here.
Mainstream Publishers
Mainstream publishing houses are some of the oldest means of getting the book you are writing published and out into the public eye. However, for the majority of writers this is a long drawn out process that may take years if you are even accepted under the wing of a large publishing house. There are specific guidelines you must follow to even be considered, and you will require the assistance of a literary agent before a mainstream publishing house will ever review your book proposal.
Keep in mind that many of the big publishers receive hundreds of submissions each day, and that only a tiny percentage of those will ever be published. The deck is stacked against you if you go this route.
Small Independent Publishers
Small independent publishers are increasing in numbers daily. They generally specialize in printing books that fit into one type of genre or another. Generally, they have access to a full distribution of channels which can help put your book right up there in the book stores with the hard-hitters of the mainstream publishing houses. There is no need to hire a literary agent since you are able to send your proposal to the acquisitions editor of a small independent publishing house.
Self Publishing
Self publishing offers you more freedom with your creativity and writing talents. Nearly ninety percent of all the books published today are self-published books. You can easily and quickly publish your own book, thereby saving time, money and the efforts of attracting the attention of mainstream publishers. Self publishing offers you the means of sidestepping many overwhelming barriers to becoming noticed by the big publishers. While it is true that you will have to take ownership for marketing and promoting your book, this would be the case even if you were published by one of the big houses, as they are not going to invest much in promoting an unknown author. And that is one of the key reasons why I believe self-publishing has become so attractive.
One ironic benefit of self publishing is that if you are able to make your book a hit, it is then much more feasible to attract the attention of some of the larger publishing houses. You see, once your book sells through your own efforts you become much less of a risk to the publishing house, and thus a much more attractive option to them. The great thing about the large publishers is their immense distribution power, and THAT can mean a big boost in your book sales.
When you choose to self publish you have greater control of your book and its contents. You choose what stays and what goes, you get to decide what your book cover looks like, and what your back cover blurb says. You are also in control of marketing and promoting your book. So when asking yourself, “How will I get my book published?” self publishing is in my opinion #1 among your options, and definitely something that you should consider.

Tips on Writing a Book Now
By Steve Manning (ICSE Guess)
Here’s a string of tips on writing a book. They’re brief, succinct and very useful. These tips on writing a book have been
designed to get you up and writing your book as quickly as possible.
They’ll help you start writing, continue writing and finish writing your book. Your manuscript will be ready for the agent, or the publisher, or on its way to self publishing success.
Here are your tips on writing a book:
You can’t start writing your book and continue writing until the book has been written. It’s too big a job. It’s going to take you a few days. Probably a couple of weeks.
People take years to write their book because they go at the task sporadically. You’ve got to write every day. If you don’t, you find yourself having written nothing for months at a time.
Your book writing success or failure depends largely on the outlining process. Create an outstanding outline for your book and you’re writing task becomes easy. You should know exactly what happens on every page before you start writing your first word.
If you think you can write your book by being spontaneously creative as you write, you’re wrong. You’re welcome to try, just about every novice author does. But I’d bet money it won’t work for you. Create the exhaustive outline.
Your outline should consist of a series of questions: What does the library look like, how is she dressed, why does he feel so angry, what does she do when she reaches the house. It’s simply easier to write in response to a question than it is to write in response to a statement.
Spend a short time writing to answer each question. Just a few minutes. You don’t want this to become a protracted bunch of puff. You want real story.
Don’t stop until the book is finished. There’s a real tendency to stop and edit the work that you’ve just completed. After all, editing is a lot easier to do than the actual writing. So you can feel that you’re still working, but it won’t be as difficult. Don’t do it! Keep writing until the book is finished.
Give yourself a period for writing and stick to that amount of time come hell or high water. Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day. Initially you’re just going for the discipline. Eventually you’ll get the writing quality as well, but the discipline is most important factor for the completion of your work in the shortest amount of time possible.
Doing research for your book writing can be fun. But don’t do it until after the book is written. If you come to a point where you’ve got to get a piece of information that you don’t have in you head, just put down an asterisk and keep the flow of the book going. After the manuscript is finished, you can look back for all those asterisks and get just the information you need.
